Aggression can take many forms, including:

-To other dogs, on leash or off

-To strangers in the home

-To strangers away from the home

Whatever the form, understanding the motivation for aggression is key to successfully addressing it. Punishing a dog for aggression when it is motivated by fear will make the problem worse.
